We had an fantastic stay at Gromaine.
We stayed a week and it just flew by. Ali and Dave were so friendly and accommodating - catering for an often fussy eating two year old! The breakfasts were delicious and kept us full till nearly tea time!
Would defiantly stay again in the future and recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay near the beautiful Brecan area.
we had lovely stay at dave & aly,s for cob sale weekend. dave and aly are lovely people, and daves breakfast are fantastic. we would definately stay again.

Thank you for a great four days, others have said how Great it is at Erwood, the Breakfasts are truly the Best in Wales Full Stop. You have got it right and the dogs Woodie and Herbie make the place lively. Sincere thanks for the Excellent Service, Help, Advice and allowing us to share your home. I will be back next season and my Canadian Buddie in 2011. See you then.

Thank you both for your warm welcome and friendly interest in how my day had been. Had such a good time viewing the Elan Valley and observing at the kite feeding centre. Breakfast! well i've never seen such a full plate and so tasty. Many thanks.
Many thanks Dave and Aly for making us feel so welcome. Dave's breakfasts were indeed huge (and how nice to be asked what kind of toast we liked). The Wheelwright's is a must for food if you want large portions, cooked well and at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend you to anyone going to mid-Wales. Elan Valley and Llyn Clywedog rival the Lake District but without the crowds!!

Thanks for a lovely stay the rooms are big and very comfortable. Breakfast is amazing and the location is ideal for the boys Harley Weekend we came for (and some nice towns nearby for the girls shopping!). The surrounding area is beautiful and there is plenty to do for a long weekend. Highly recommended.

If anyone wants to visit mid-Wales this is the place to stay. Very highly recommended.

Dave and Aly, thanks so much for making our trip to Wales amazingly unforgettable. Gromaine Cottage was always immaculately kept and in an excellent location for browsing in the nearby towns, or hiking up the breathtaking hills. Red Kite feeding and all your other recommendations were winners! Breakfast was great, and most of all the time you take with your guests is so comforting. Thanks again guys!
This was my 3rd time staying at Gromaine and what a wonderful time we all had. Aly and Dave welcomed my family from South Africa with open arms and gave us a warm, relaxed family atmosphere. Breakfasts were superb and the rooms wonderful; especially looking over the bird feeder. The peace and quiet of the B&B is very restful. I would recommend this B&B to all. I will definitely go back for a 4th visit!
Dave and Ally gave us a very warm welcome - the bedrooms were spotless and an amazing and very filling breakfast at an early hour too! Highly recommended!
Thanks for a lovely stay. Really friendly welcome and excellent breakfast. The accomodation is clean & comfortable and in a beautiful part of the world. The Wheelrights Arms worth a visit, but be carefull between Dave's breakfasts & Wheelrights evening meal you are guaranteed to put on some weight. Thanks Again
Very walm welcome in good location for the royal welsh showground. David and ally will make you feel at home and their breakfast will set you up for anything!! one thing you will not be is hungry!!!! We will be returning in the future.Dave and ally's local reccommendations for a night out are also very highly reccomended.
We found Gromaine Cottage during a google search for B&Bs in Wales. We stayed 2 nights and really had a loveley relaxing break. The Cottage and surroundings are loveley and Aly and Dave are both very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is enormous and delicious. We both hope to return soon.
We're planning our 2nd trip to Gromaine Cottage. Looking forward to the warm welcome, beautiful countryside and, of course, Dave's breakfast!
Lovely friendly welcome, comfortable accomodation, giant breakfasts! Aly and Dave have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Beautiful scenery and great pub meals nearby, but watch out for the busy road. Very handy location for Mid-Wales. Popular with fishermen and walkers.Local craft centre in old railway station and lovely river walks. We'll be back!
I got a very friendly reception when I arrived, and was seved tea and Welsh Cakes (still hot from the oven). The Cottage is surrounded by stunning scenery and there is a beautiful river just across the road. I had a delicious fried breakfast the first morning, and my friend Jack had the vegetarian verison which was great too. I told Dave and Aly that since I was cycling the mountain bike marathon next morning, I'd give the fried breakfast a miss, so they made a special bowl of porridge for me because (as they explained) a cycling team who'd previously stayed ate porridge with honey. I had a second bowl. Highly reccommended B&B - a lovely place run by a very jolly couple.
PS. We followed Aly & Dave's reccommendation and ate our evening meal at The Wheelwright's Arms nearby. I was very impressed, as were the other B&B guests who we met there.
we've loved stopping you are good company the food is great. The area is beautiful we would recommend anyone to come and stop.We love the dogs too.:-)
